Do I need a Doctor’s referral?

No, you do not require a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy. However in some instances we require a referral for work cover and insurance based claims if you are planning on making a claim.

Do you see insurance cases such as work cover or 3rd party claims?

Yes, we do take work cover and insurance claims. Provided that the case is open and accepted and we have approval to send an account to your nominated provider. Also for work cover cases we must have a current medical certificate, doctor’s referral as well as your claim number.

Do you see DVA and Doctor referred Medicare clients with an Chronic Disease Management Plan?

Yes. However these are not bulk billed. Max Murray, Physiotherapist, and Linda Sheehan, Exercise Physiologist, charge the Medicare Rebate amount of $50.95. This amount is payable on the day. The Medicare claim can then be processed at our clinic and deposited into the clients bank account (Medicare Card and debit card required).

Do I need to bring X-rays and medical reports?

We ask that you bring in all relevant information that is applicable to your condition. This includes your most recent scans and doctors or other therapy reports/summaries.

Can I keep seeing the same physio?

Definitely. While we can obviously offer you a wide range of appointment times if you’re prepared to see any of our physios, we can also arrange for you to continue treatment with one physiotherapist if you prefer.

When should I see a Physiotherapist?

There are many instances when it is appropriate and beneficial to consult a physiotherapist. Some of these include:
