Our team of highly qualified practitioners are specialists in sports-related injuries and therapeutic care. All staff share a universal dedication to HANDS-ON physiotherapy treatment and evaluation. All our staff are happy to treat people of all ages and all activity levels utilising their skills to provide all clients with the highest standard of professional care.

Paul Parker

Paul Parker

Physiotherapy

Graduated at Sydney University in 1991. Had 2 years Hospital experience in Sydney and since then worked in private practice in both Sydney and Townsville. Main areas of interest are sports physiotherapy but also have strong interest in rehabilitation of backs through muscle retraining using diagnostic ultrasound.

Belinda Stubbs

Belinda Suitor
Physiotherapist

I graduated from the University of Queensland with a Master of Physiotherapy studies in 2007 after getting a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Montana State University in 2005. Since graduating I have worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Townsville Hospital and have been with SportsMed since 2009. Currently I am the physio for the Townsville Fire basketball team.

Justine Warren

Justine Warren
Physiotherapist

I graduated in 2008 from James Cook University Townsville with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since graduating I previously worked at the Townsville Hospital and have been with SportsMed since 2009. I have a keen interest in all sports and musculoskeletal injuries, and Benign positional vertigo. I also have a level one in acupuncture (Dry Needling). 2010 Physio for Steelcats Netball Team.

Justine practices at Townsville Family Medical 3 days a week.

Luis Resa

Luis Resa
Physiotherapist

Graduate of the James Cook University in 2008 with Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since graduating I have been employed at Parkhaven SportsMed and I am the head physio for the NQ Razorbacks soccer team. I have also assisted with the NQ Fury soccer team and have been the physio for the U13/U14 girl and boy Queensland State soccer team for Nationals in 2009.

Graduate of the James Cook University in 2008. Since graduating I have worked at Parkhaven SportsMed. My recent experience in the sporting area includes being the physio for the Townsville Brolgas Rugby Union teams.

Rebecca Officer

Rebecca Officer
Physiotherapist

Graduate of the University of Sydney in 2007 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Working in both Sydney and Brisbane, I have been the treating physiotherapist for various sporting teams including NSW AFL, NSW International Rules and Brisbane Strikers FC. With a gymnastics background, I have been involved in injury prevention screening and management of musculoskeletal injuries sustained by elite gymnasts. Joining SportsMed in 2010, I am now the physiotherapist for Steelcats Netball Team and officiate Pilates in both private and group sessions.

Michael Nelson

Michael Nelson
Exercise Physiologist

Michael graduated at James Cook University in 2010 with Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (clinical) as well as a registered Sport Scientist and Exercise Physiologist with Exercise Sports Science Australia. Since graduating I have worked at SportsMed NQ ParkHaven. Main areas of interest are clinical exercise prescription for the prevention and rehabilitation of chronic conditions/injuries.

Linda Sheehan

Linda Sheehan
Exercise Physiologist

Relocated to Townsville from Brisbane mid 2009, after graduating from Queensland University of Technology with first class honours in Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies). I spent 12 months based in private practice working with clients presenting with various chronic health conditions. Since joining SportsMed NQ in 2010 I have enjoyed being able to provide services to clients in both the gym and pool based enviroments.

Musculoskeletal & neurological rehabilitation, Post surgery rehabilitation, Chronic disease management, A decent bottle of plonk, basketball, running and all sports involving a bit of healthy competition
